About the EVIT School of Adult Education

Reaching out to the community with adult education and industry training has been integral to the concept of East Valley Institute of Technology since it began.

When EVIT opened its doors in 1991 as the first Joint Technological Education District (JTED) in Arizona, it focused primarily on high school students in order to address the immediate needs of the ten participating school districts.

Once the high school was firmly established and growing, attention was focused on the adult and industry training. The School of Adult Education offers classes to anyone who has graduated from high school, received a GED, or reached 22 years of age.

With more than 30 different career programs offered during the daytime and evening, it's easy to select a program that fits your schedule.

Arizona businesses look to EVIT to provide technical training in high-skill, high-demand fields.  Most programs provide training and required hours for students to be able to sit for certification exams once class is completed.

EVIT is also proud and well-equipped to serve as a resource for businesses that need to offer customized training. For example, training classes are offered for NextCare Urgent Care employees on-site and around the state. Fresh Start and the East Valley office for SCORE are also located on the EVIT campus.

We encourage you to take a look at all EVIT programs and select one that is right for you!
