Helicopter Pilot Training
The Professional Helicopter Pilot Training Academy is taught in conjunction with Phoenix Helicopter at the EVIT East Campus near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. It offers several flexible training programs to meet individual goals from earning a college degree to becoming a professional helicopter pilot.
Earn your commercial pilot’s license with instrument rating along with your certified flight instructor certificate.
New classes start every 12 weeks!

18 months
Minimum Qualifications
- Download and complete the required forms. Additional forms may be required for enrollment.
- You must be at least 17 years old to hold a Private Pilot certificate and 18 years old to hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate or Instructor Certificates
- You must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
- You must obtain an FAA Student Pilot Medical Certificate to train for a Private Pilot Certificate or a Third Class Medical Certificate to train for Commercial Pilot or Instructor certificates
- You must hold an FAA Private Pilot Certificate to be eligible for a Commercial Pilot Certificate
Average Starting Salary Range
$28.21 to $61.55 per hour
