Prepare for a career in a criminal justice/law enforcement-related field. Begin studying crime and surrounding responses, examining the causes of crime, criminal law, constitutional law, and constitutional safeguards.
Gain a strong foundation in the organization and operation of the criminal justice system including the police, courts, jails, prisons, probation and parole departments, and community corrections agencies.
Begin physically preparing for the various academies or military.
