EVIT students take "Bridal Renovation" fashions to the runway
Fashion merchandising students transform one-time garments into everyday fashions
October 4, 2011
Ever wonder how to make a bridesmaid dress or wedding gown into something that is wearable after the big day?
Fashion merchandising students at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) have accepted the challenge and will unveil their creations at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 at 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa.
A fashion runway will be built by EVIT’s construction technologies class and student models will show off their designs in front of a live audience. Fellow EVIT students and faculty will vote on their favorites and a top three will be named from the morning and afternoon session.
Following this fashion show, students will be hard at work for the next several months preparing their collections for the annual Spring Fashion Show that will be held at 6 p.m. on March 27, 2012.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see these fun creations and meet some of our talented students!
