The East Valley Institute of Technology will host its 20th Annual Mystery Chef Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 8.

Top chefs from across the Valley will incorporate this year’s theme, “a farmer’s market,” into a gourmet dining experience. The mystery is that you won’t know which chef is cooking dinner for your table until you arrive!

The event will be held in the EVIT culinary banquet hall located at 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa. Tickets are $65 per person and are 100% tax-deductible. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund EVIT culinary student scholarships.

“We have so much support from the culinary community. The chefs love this event because it is a way to give back while educating the next generation of culinarians” said instructor Tricia Guerrero.

More than 12 chefs have been confirmed for this year’s event. Previous participants include Beau MacMillan of Elements at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, Mark Tarbell of Tarbell’s, Joshua Hebert of Posh and Charles Kassels of El Chorro Lodge.

“This event showcases who and what we stand for at EVIT. After 20 years, it's great to see many of the ‘Mystery Chefs’ showcased are EVIT alumni who have gone on to make a name for themselves and returned to support the school where they got their start” added Guerrero.

Space is limited and reservations fill quickly. For more information or to reserve your spot, call at (480) 461-4139 or e-mail culinary@evit.com.
