Arizona Credit for Contributions to Qualifying Charitable Organizations

The EVIT Foundation is certified by the Arizona Department of Revenue as a Qualifying Charitable Organization. (QCO) This means you can direct your tax dollars to the Foundation and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit when you make a contribution.

Tax credit donations are used to support the career and technical education programs at the East Valley Institute of Technology. Take a look at how our Foundation uses your generosity.

For High School Students: We provide scholarships to help students cover the costs of their program that are above and beyond the basics. Our financial assistance covers the cost of program supplies, industry testing & certifications and related costs necessary to equip a student for future success in their chosen area of study.

For Adult Students: Adults who enroll in a program at EVIT are responsible for tuition to cover all costs of their field of study. The Foundation currently provides up to $1,000 in scholarship funds toward that tuition. The demand is great and the Foundation is hopeful that tax credit donations will allow this area of assistance to be expanded.

The QCO tax credit limits are $400 for single individual/head of household filing status and $800 for a married couple filing a joint return. Tax credits directly offset your Arizona tax liability - dollar-for-dollar. Also, it is not only for folks who owe but can increase your refund by lowering your tax bill.

We realize that many worthwhile organizations will be asking you for your QCO tax credit dollars, and you may wish to support several charities. The amount you give does not have to be for the maximum allowable. You can make a difference in our schools with even $50, $100, or $200 as well. Our students appreciate any amount of support you can provide.

It is the policy of the East Valley Institute of Technology District #401 to provide all persons with equal employment and education opportunities regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, marital status, age or disability. District grievance procedures will be followed for compliance with Title IX and Section 504 requirements. The compliance officer is the EVIT Superintendent.
