Landings Credit Union partners with EVIT to open new Mesa branchLandings Credit Union and the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) have partnered to open a new branch on EVIT’s main campus located at 1601 West Main Street in Mesa. The new branch will not only incorporate Landings employees and all of the banking services that Landings offers, but will also be a teaching and training branch for both Landings employees and EVIT students.

With this new partnership, Landings and EVIT will offer a brand new banking program as part of the EVIT career readiness programs of study. Landings Credit Union often partners with East Valley school districts to offer free financial education classes where students learn basic skills on managing money, how to open and maintain a checking account and other valuable banking skills that are often not taught anymore. This new program will give students who are interested in banking as a career a new option as part of their course curriculum. Students will receive occupational training in a variety of areas including skills to become a teller, loan officer, call center representative, and other positions throughout the banking industry. They will also receive hands-on training in cash handling, marketing, and running a full service student branch.

The new branch officially opened on August 1st. A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for sometime in September. Students interested in enrolling in the new banking program can find information by going to www.evit.com/banking.
