88.7FM - The Pulse & Wrench Nation offers female auto tech career training scholarship

Phoenix's 88.7FM, The Pulse & Wrench Nation, a national automotive podcast, offering a female auto technician training scholarshipWrench Nation Car Talk Radio Show, as heard on 88.7FM - The Pulse, and East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) are partnering to make a dream come true for any female interested in winning an auto technician scholarship to pursue a career in the automotive services industry.

The scholarship is intended to encourage females who are interested in a career in the automotive technology field, to engage in education from a quality automotive program at EVIT. The scholarship will be award to the student who receives the highest average score on a rubric that will be used by a committee, and provided in the application. Winners will be notified by email and phone, and they will be posted on both partners websites & social media.

The scholarship will awarded for the cost of one year of education and training in the automotive department at EVIT, as well as program fees. The scholarship must be used for the 2017-2018 school year beginning on Monday, August 7, 2017 and ending on Friday, May 18, 2018. The student must attend 2.5 hours per day, Monday-Friday, in line with the EVIT school calendar. 
Applicants must complete an application, which may be obtained by any of the following options:

  3. Pick one up at the office of Adult Education at The East Valley Institute of Technology, 1601 West Main Street, Mesa AZ 85201. M-Th 7am-5:30pm. Closed Fridays in summer.

  4. Visit Desert Car Care of Chandler, 95 N. Dobson Road, Chandler AZ 85224. M-F only

Applications are being accepted now. When the application is completed it must be uploaded, emailed or received by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Scholarship recipient will be announced on or before Sunday, July 23, 2017
