High School Equivalency Prep

Adult Education at EVIT is excited to offer the High School Equivalency (HSE) Prep program. We encourage you to earn your General Education Development (GED) if you haven't already graduated from high school.

This class is designed to prepare participants for the Arizona GED® exam and for success in further academic studies. It offers an exploration of the five test subjects with focus on the development of reading, writing, and math skills. Students will become familiar with the format and demands of the exam and learn successful test-taking strategies. Designed as a springboard to either college or certification training, this class provides academic preparation and regards the GED credential as a gateway to a career and/or post-secondary education advancement.


How much does it cost?

Tuition for the course is $100.00.

There is an out of pocket expenses for books, calculator, fingerprint clearance card (if 22 or older), and High School Equivalency Exam Fee


What are the requirements?

Applicants must:

  • be at least 16 years of age and not enrolled in school to register for class.

  • Be available to attend in person classes at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell Main Campus at 1601 West Main St. in Mesa.

How do I registering for class?

To register for the class, students will need Driver's License or a state-issued ID with their photo and date of birth.
