It’s that time of year again to let students in The Culinary School @ EVIT take care of your Thanksgiving baking while providing them with valuable real world work experience. 

Students at the East Valley Institute of Technology have already started mixing ingredients and baking sheets of rolls, pies, quick breads and more for the big sale Nov. 19-20. Orders can be placed through Nov. 16 by calling 480-461-4132, emailing bakery@evit.com, or through the online ordering site: https://squareup.com/store/evit-bakery.

Orders may be picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Nov. 19-20 at The Culinary School @ EVIT, which is located at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell (Main) Campus, 1601 W. Main St., Mesa. EVIT will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Items for order include annual favorites such as pecan pie and pumpkin toffee bread as well as three different kinds of dinner rolls. Proceeds benefit students in the Culinary Arts and Commercial Baking & Pastry Arts programs.  

EVIT is an AdvancED-accredited career and technical school providing over 40 programs tuition-free to high school students who reside in Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Fountain Hills, Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Higley, Queen Creek and J.O. Combs school districts. Tuition-based programs for adults are also offered with financial assistance available to those who qualify.

Programs in The Culinary School @ EVIT are the only high school culinary and baking programs in Arizona that are nationally accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.

EVIT students have a 98 percent high school graduation rate, 2 out of 3 go on to college, and 92 percent are in jobs, college or the military within a year of completing their training. Information: www.evit.com.
