Hello! My name is Landry Low & I am a proud to be an alumni of East Valley Institute of Technology! I graduated from the Fashion program in 2011 and went on to study Fashion Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY (BFA Fashion Design 2015). After graduating, I worked in the admissions department at Pratt as an Admissions Representative, which allowed me to travel the US, visiting high schools & attending National Portfolio Day events to meet with high school students and give them feedback on their portfolios prior to application (in addition to reviewing/evaluating applications in the spring). When I wasn't traveling, I was designing and producing my own work, which you can find on my website:

My experience at EVIT, as a high-schooler, was life-altering;
Let me start by saying that even prior to attending EVIT, I was always a good student - very academically inclined - but by the time I had reached the end of my sophomore year, I felt utterly dissatisfied & unfulfilled. Achievement was (and still is!) so important to me, however, I didn't feel that the grades I earned adequately represented the most important qualities that I possess. I didn't want to just learn about things - I wanted to DO the things I learned about & then figure out a better way of doing those things!
EVIT provided me with the opportunity to do exactly that.
So, now, I've come home -
to Arizona -
to EVIT -
to contribute to this gift that I was granted,
& to pass that gift on to you.
